Thank you visiting our site and allowing us the opportunity to share with you why becoming a member of the Swanton Chamber of Commerce can help you with your business.

The Swanton Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer non-profit organization comprised of private individuals and businesses with a focus on community development, building relationships with area businesses and the preservation of the Vermont quality of life.

So, what exactly do we do?

• Maintain the Chamber of Commerce office and Tourist Information Center.
• Provide a home and care for Swanton’s Royal Swans for over forty years.
• Provide informational local business seminars
• Helped in the re-installation of our historic 1909 fountain replica.
• Provide annual Scholastic scholarships
• Sponsor Merchant Promotions, including an Easter Egg Hunt and Santa Project.
• Participate in decorations and our Annual Christmas in the Park
• Sponsor students to Boys and Girls State
• Donate to support local high school Substance Free Party
• Donate to support the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging
• Support local area Boy Scouts
• Sponsor the promotion of our Annual Citizen or Business of the Year Recognition
• Work closely with the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge
• Encourage trade and manufacturing in Swanton and surrounding communities
• Contribute to downtown park beautification

The opportunities to meet with various representatives from our local schools, business and civic leaders, including Town and Village offices and Legislative Representatives, enables our members not only to be fully informed of concerns and interests but also open an awareness of what is happening in our community. Frequent guest speakers bring new and interesting information not otherwise available to our membership.

We look forward to your productive participation as a member of the Swanton Chamber of Commerce. Our monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month in the evening at a local restaurant. Our monthly NEWSLETTER will inform you of the location, program and agenda in advance of the meetings.
