The Citizen of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has been actively involved in the community in any number of ways over the last year. This individual may have shown leadership and citizenship within the community with the vision to better the community.
The individual may have served on a town or village commission or have been active on various civic organizations. (Elks, Legion or VFW etc.). They have given time volunteering, in any form, within the Swanton community. They have been available to help with community-wide events, or may have just been there when ever needed. They may reside in a surrounding community of Swanton. They do not have to be a member of the Swanton Chamber of Commerce or the business community.

You can submit nominations online at the link above, or download and complete this form and and attach it as a cover page with your letter(s) of explanation and recommendation for this award. Evaluation of the nominees will be based upon the information submitted, and providing complete information will help the judges’ evaluation your candidate. All nominations will be kept confidential.
